How to Order Polaroid Prints Online in India — Complete Guide
Ordering polaroid prints online in India is straightforward, but a few decisions at the start — photo resolution, size choice, border colour — have a big impact on the final result. This guide walks through every step of the process from upload to delivery, including what to do if your photo is low resolution or in HEIC format.
Step 1 — Choose Your Size
PrintPolaroid offers five polaroid sizes. Mini (2×3 inch) is the most compact — similar to a wallet photo and popular for scrapbooks, gifting, and fridge galleries. Classic (3×4 inch) is the standard polaroid format — the one most people picture when they hear "polaroid." Retro Medium (roughly 4×5 inch) is larger and better for wall displays where you want more visual presence. Square Photo Prints and 4×6 prints are also available for non-polaroid formats.
For wall displays, go Classic or Retro Medium. For gifting or posting, Mini is the most practical — it fits in an envelope, costs less, and still has the distinctive polaroid look. For events where you need 20+ prints, Mini is the most economical.
Step 2 — Prepare Your Photo
The minimum recommended resolution for a sharp polaroid print is 1200×1600 pixels for Classic size and 800×1000 for Mini. Most smartphone photos taken in the default camera app are well above this — a 12MP phone camera produces images around 4000×3000 pixels, which is more than enough for any polaroid size.
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC (iPhone format), and WebP. You do not need to convert HEIC files before uploading — the editor handles the conversion automatically.
Common things that reduce print quality: heavily zoomed-in photos (digital zoom, not optical), screenshots of photos rather than the original file, photos that have been compressed and resaved multiple times, and images taken in poor light with visible noise.
Step 3 — Upload and Frame
Upload your photo on the product page or in the free polaroid editor. Use the zoom slider and drag controls to frame your photo inside the polaroid border. A tight crop — where the subject fills most of the image area — almost always looks better than a loose crop with a lot of background.
The polaroid border is fixed: 6mm on the sides and top, 19mm on the bottom (the caption strip). Everything inside the image area is what gets printed. Anything outside the frame does not print.
Step 4 — Add a Caption
The caption goes in the wide white bottom border — the signature detail of the polaroid format. Keep it short: a date, a place, a name, or a feeling. The caption is printed at the same resolution as the photo, so what you see in the editor is what you get in the print.
If you prefer to write your caption by hand after the print arrives, leave the caption field blank. The bottom border is standard matte photo paper that accepts fine-tip pens — Pigma Micron, Staedtler triplus fineliner, or any archival ink pen works well. Ballpoint pens can scratch the surface.
Step 5 — Place Your Order

What the Prints Actually Look Like
PrintPolaroid prints on 300 GSM matte artboard — the same weight and texture as genuine Fujifilm Instax prints. The surface is matte (not glossy), which means no glare under lights and no fingerprint smudges. Colours are printed using an Epson L8050 with genuine Epson inks, calibrated for colour accuracy.
The white border is printed white — not a paper-white, but an actual printed white that ensures consistency across all prints in a batch.
Delivery to Your City
